Jane E. Smith, Esq.

Jane E. Smith, Esq., is the founder and President of LiSimba Consulting Services, Inc. She has over twenty years of experience working with international corporations Building Relationships for International Business Success. She is a global executive coach guiding executives to come to know themselves culturally and then to understand those with whom they work. She has authored many professional articles. Among her most recent publications is a chapter in The ABA Guide to International Business Negotiations, Third Edition, published May 2009. The chapter is “Minimizing Risk: Best Practices in Managing Cross Cultural Concerns in Global Contracting”. She conducts seminars, full day and half day, focusing on one or more of these topics: minimizing cultural risk in our global work environment; understanding how trust is created and functions in each culture; creating client specific culturally appropriate conflict resolution models. Ms Smith is a dynamic presenter at conferences and on webinars. LiSimba’s clients are Fortune 500 corporations, mid size businesses, law firms, and small businesses.

Highlights of her education include a J.D. earned at William Mitchell College of Law, two years reading ancient history and theology at Wycliff Hall in the WEST Course, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England; an M.Ed in secondary education and Spanish; a B.A. from Macalester College, St. Paul, Minnesota, including study at the University of Madrid, Spain, Facultad de Filosofia y Letras, through New York University.
